Responsibilities

As a Histotechnologist (HTL) SR with CHI you will responsible for performing complex histological clinical laboratory procedures on patient specimens under the direction of Medical Director and Director of Laboratory Services. Must also act as a team leader by assisting and guiding Histotechnicians in decision-making, and by taking on other areas of responsibility. Acts as supervisor of the section in the absence of the supervisor and/or assistant supervisor. Accurately processes, analyzes and reports all tests ordered in a timely manner to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Performs calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings. Responsible for organizing work load as assigned. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in support of CHI St. Lukes Health Mission & Vision. Connect with CHI today!

Qualifications

Education and Licensure:

• Bachelor's Degree, or 10 years of experience as a Histotechnologist
• Certification as a Histologist (HT ASCP or HTL ASCP)

Minimum Experience:

• Three (3) years of experience as an HT in a large hospital
