Job Description

Role Summary-

Corporate Band: HRLY Labor Grade: LG20 Union: Lodge 78

Responsibilities-

• Perform all machine, bench and assembly operations to construct, modify, maintain, and repair tools, blanking and forming dies, jigs, fixtures, etc.

• Layout, select proper equipment and materials, determine machining variables and ultimately machine high quality tools, jigs and fixtures to critical tolerances.

• Plan, layout and perform all operations to fabricate and construct a diversified line of sheet metal products to customer?s specifications or perform development work on new products.

• Construct, alter and repair pre-production models of complicated and intricate design and construction.

• Perform all jig bore machining on a wide variety of work where considerable skill is required to maintain a high degree of accuracy on sizes and related dimensions.

• Check own work and work of others to insure tolerances per specifications.

• May troubleshoot installed tools, fixtures, jigs and dies at the operators workplace to determine source of problem and make corrections.

• Use a wide variety of precision measuring devices such as indicators, micrometers, scales, etc.

• Provide technical direction and layout work for personnel as assigned

• Work from drawings, sketches, specifications and oral and/or written instructions to complete projects with little or no direction from others.

Qualifications-

1. Have completed State of Wisconsin Indentured apprentice program in Tool & Die.

2. Able to discriminate visually to perform various checks*

3. Able to discriminate auditorially to perform noise checks*

4. Bending motions from waist required*

5. Able to handle/lift/push/pull various assemblies*

6. Repetitive hand and wrist motion required*

7. Extended period of standing/sitting*
