Job Title: Acute Care Med-Surg Registered Nurse

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas 72205/ 72114

Duration : 1+ Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract)

Shift: Options for 8 and 12 hours (40 Hours week)

Start date : August 2024

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications: Active RN license - Any state license works
• Must have ACLS, BLS
• Skill checklist
• Experience: 1 years of Med-Surg (oncology) RN experience

Description :

• Registered nurse support for Med Surge (Acute Care/Oncology) in support of the Center Arkansas Veterans Healthcare Systems (CAVHS) campuses located at 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 and 2200 Fort Roots Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72114
• Perform head-to-toe assessments insert IV lines care and management of peripheral and central lines, including PICC lines
• Administer medication including IV
• Measure vital signs/hemodynamic monitoring including pain (the 5th Vital Sign), pulse oximetry, etc.
• Perform non-acute and/or acute ventilator care
• Perform deep suctioning, which may include obtaining specimens
