About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is looking for a Vice President, Operations for our corporate office located in Kansas City, Missouri.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrical contracting industry, with proven leadership skills and a strategic mindset. As the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

  • Oversee project management activities, ensuring that all projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, supervisors, and field staff.

  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all operational activities.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to set and achieve long-term business goals and objectives.

  • Manage and optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Prepare and present operational reports to the executive team and board of directors.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain the company’s competitive edge.

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale electrical projects from inception to completion.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or PMP certification.

  • Financial acumen for budget development and management.
