-Approach all encounters with associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
-Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
-Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
-Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
-Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
-Ensure compliance of all policies and Code of Conduct as specified in the Employee Handbook.
-Assist, as needed, with accounts payable job functions. To include, but not limited to, scanning, filing, data input, statement reconciliation and vendor inquiries.
-Assist, as needed, with accounts receivable job functions. To include, but not limited to, filing, account billing, guest inquiries and responses.
-Assist the Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting Manager with daily and month end general accounting duties.
-Assist with month end closing responsibilities as assigned.
-Assist with balance sheet reconciliations as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to multi task.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to work with, understand and interpret financial information, hotel operations data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Must be able to prioritize regional, or hotel, or departmental functions in order to meet all deadlines.
  • Long hours sometimes required.
  • Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
  • High school diploma required, prefer college degree.
  • Some accounting or office experience desired
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
