  • Responsible for driving long-term strategic decision making within the organization

What you'll do

  • Works with senior leaders within the Loyalty Organization to help set the department’s strategic vision for the next 2-5 years
  • Evaluates all aspects of the program to determine revenue and engagement opportunities and works with relevant stakeholders to prioritize relevant projects
  • Researches new companies and technologies that align with the AAdvantage Program’s core values or has the potential for disruption
  • Collaborates extensively with stakeholders in Loyalty, Revenue Management, Marketing, Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, and third-party vendors to evaluate opportunities and implement strategic initiatives
  • Analyzes transactional, behavioral, and identity data from multiple sources to evaluate strategic opportunities and inform decisions
  • Produces strong business cases through effective, creative, and data-validated narratives
  • Mentor sand trains the next generation of talent at American Airlines

All you'll need for success

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
    • 3 years of professional work experience 
  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Master’s degree in business administration, business analytics, operations management, data science, or related field
    • Previous loyalty marketing, CRM, insights, customer behavioral sciences, or commercial airline experience
    • Strategy experience in customer focused companies/industries
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Exceptional business acumen with firm grasp of marketing principles, economic concepts, and customer-focused mindset 
    • Effective organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities
    • Excellent communication, presentation, creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills capable of influencing others across levels of the organization
    • Knowledge of AAdvantage® products and propositions as well as consumer alternatives 
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to develop creative solutions and innovative strategies to drive business results
