We are looking to hire full-time Banquet Servers to join our team!

This individual will help to set up and prepare banquet room for banquet functions, serve food and bus tables, as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.

Your role:

• Offers warm and sincere welcome with a smile as guest arrive, and farewell as they leave.
• Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and put out table centerpieces.
• Service to include picking up food from back hall, carrying trays to function location, serve food and clear the food from the tables.
• Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming.
• Performs food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee and ensuring workstations are stocked.
• Explains how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods and ingredients
• Ensures final quality check on food and beverage items prior to and while serving guests
• Monitors assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality and additional service
• Takes into consideration and forwards information to Banquet captains of any special request and dietary issues made by the guest.
• Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons).

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: Candidates must realize it may be necessary to provide assistance to other positions in the department, other events and hotel restaurant staff as needed based on hotel demands or as directed by immediate supervisor.

Key Requirements:

• Must have TABC & Food Handler certifications 
• Ability to communicate in the English language sufficient to understand job requests from supervisor, as well as understand menus, record orders/requests, and communicate with guest to explain orders.
• Must work well in stressful high pressure situations with a sense of urgency.
• Standing for long periods, up to entire shift, with frequent bending, squatting, and side-to-side movement.
• Able to extending arms; frequent bending and stooping and ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• All employees must maintain high standards of personal appearance, which includes a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
• Prior customer service, hospitality and/or server experience preferred.
