Job Description:


Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Catering Sales Manager with wedding experience, for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa! If you love hospitality, creating amazing customer experiences, and the structure and benefits that come from working with a hotel company then you will love working with Omni!   • Sell and solicit new and repeat local catering business requiring less than 10 rooms with a large focus on weddings and social business to achieve and exceed established revenue goals.
  • Coordinate all details of each booked event with that client.
  • Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments through banquet event orders, diagrams and resumes.
  • Collaborate with client’s contracted vendors (flowers, entertainment, decoration, A/V, etc.) to provide full understanding of each event to the hotel and ensure proper event execution.
  • Conduct site visits, tastings and planning appointments as needed.
  • Be present onsite during each event to ensure proper event setup and satisfaction of client which may involve nights and weekends
  • Maximize revenues for the hotel through upselling techniques.
  • Attend department meetings and other company required trainings, along with networking events, as needed.
  • Ensure all necessary items are in the catering file.
  • Solve all group problems to the best of your or the hotel's ability within hotel's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Bonus eligible
Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience as a Catering Sales Manager, and or like experience in event planning.
  • At least 1 year experience in a hotel setting, preferably 4 or 5 diamond resort.
  • Experience with Delphi is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
