Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering/Assistant Director of Engineering, the main responsibility of the Painter is the proper painting of interior / exterior of the hotel accordance EPA regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs daily checks of all meeting rooms, public spaces and maintains up-to-date records on all of guest room P.M. program, its condition and repairs necessary or completed reporting any issues to the Assistant Director of Engineering.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of painting supplies to properly maintain all painting functions or tasks.
  • Respond within 15 minutes when needed to all called-in requests from other departments or hotel guests including maintenance repairs for the Engineering department and hotel quality standards.
  • Ensure the proper care and use of all Engineering equipment including all safety related procedures used when operating this equipment. This includes MSDS and loc-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Ensure proper supplies are fully stocked reporting any more supplies needed to the Assistant Director of Engineering.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of trade school or formal apprenticeship in Painting. 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with painting equipment such as that found in commercial buildings.
  • Must be familiar with all safety practices related to all Engineering equipment and its use.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision on assigned tasks. 
  • Must be flexible with working different shifts and coverage.
