Prepare food items in accordance with brand standard recipes and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping and storing of food.
2. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and the food preparation checklist for all restaurant and banquet event guests.
3. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
4. Monitor food quality while preparing.
5. Assist in prep work of all food items and condiments for the next shift.
6. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment.
7. Prepare food and kitchen supply order in accordance with hotel needs and budget.
8. Conduct monthly food and kitchen supply inventory.
9. Adhere to all company, county and state health, safety and security policies and procedures.
10. Communicate with the management on a regular basis.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
2. Participate in hotel task forces and committees as requested.
Job Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 2 years food service or related work.
3. Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. without restriction.
4. Must be able to work mornings during weekdays, weekends and holidays.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
