Property Controller

The Property Controller will be a crucial part of maintaining the financial operations of Riverview Hotel-Clarksville. The individual in this role is responsible for performing daily accounting duties accurately and promptly, including but not limited to the reporting of income, costs, and records maintenance. Additionally, the Property Controller is in charge of taking care of accounts receivable, payable, and payroll. Candidates with hospitality experience and qualifications will be given preference. Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of books and records of the Finance office
• Commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to the position and accounting
• Supervise the finance office and accounting staff; make day-to-day financial decisions in conjunction with the Corporate Controller
• Ensure daily general ledger and sub-ledger postings in a timely and accurate manner
• Complete month-end processing regarding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Act as a liaison to other hotel departments and assist with financial department issues
• Maintain and enforce finance, legal, and compliance initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller
• Resolve all credit card disputes and chargebacks in a timely manner; watch for fraud and scams
• Supervise and perform billing and collection efforts
• Timely and accurate submission of payroll to Corporate Human Resources
• Perform regular payroll audits while maintaining and enforcing payroll policies and procedures
• Ensure proper cash on hand while enforcing all cash policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• This is an on-site/hybrid position in Clarksville, TN
• Preference is given to candidates with Hilton experience and credentials
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred
• Sage Intact and Profit Sword experience a plus
• Able to work with integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
• Work in a safe, prudent, and highly organized manner
• Superior oral and written skills
• Hospitality experience/passion for hospitality
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the hotel's standards

About Company: DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview is a 156-room full-service hotel located in the Riverview Square development, steps from Austin Peay State University and F&M Bank Arena in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Our downtown location provides walkable access to shopping, dining, and entertainment options. DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview will comfortably accommodate groups of up to 250, and the meeting space features two ballrooms, a boardroom, and a breakout space, as well as an outdoor terrace.
