Job Description - Hozpitality - Global Sales Manager, Transient Business Development

Description The Opportunity Hyatt seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Global Manager to join our Hyatt Sales Force Americas team. This manager will be responsible for finding new accounts for Hyatt and our hotels in addition to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within a targeted account base of mid-size corporate transient accounts. This role will focus on growing Hyatt's overall market share and there will be defined goals, including account growth and prospecting targets. This ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strong relationships in the hotel/business travel industry. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Hyatt Sales Force team, our hotel partners, and key commercial functions throughout the organization. You will be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company and increasing Hyatt brand awareness. The Role As a Global Manager on the Hyatt Sales Force Transient Business Development Team, you will be accountable for qualifying and targeting new business within corporate transient accounts using Hyatt's proprietary sales system, effective sales solicitation strategies, relationship building, and Hyatt's commercial offerings to drive business growth and increase Hyatt's market share. While this is a remote position that requires a highly motivated individual, our Hyatt Sales Force team cross-collaborates with all commercial areas of the organization. This position will report to the Global Sales Director, Transient Business Development and Hyatt Leverage. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to prospecting new business, day-to-day account management, qualifying leads, running RFPs, generating and analyzing reports, and representing Hyatt and our brands. •Support and promote Hyatt's corporate travel discount program •Sales Calls and Business Travel when appropriate •Maintaining travel expenses within a set budget approved by the Director •Create and implement account development plans to meet/exceed revenue goals •Effectively communicate and bring Hyatt's story to life •Champion new and needed hotels and other company initiatives and priorities •Possess a strong customer service mindset •Engage with hotel sales teams, operators, and owners to build rapport and increase awareness of Hyatt Sales Force •Maintain a high level of productivity while making decisions based on established policies and procedures in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environment •Demonstrate strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership mindset •Opportunities to participate in Hyatt's Diversity & Inclusion activities Qualifications

Experience Required: •5+ years of related industry experience •Understanding of the Corporate Travel industry and a network of contacts •Comprehensive knowledge of Hotels and Sales Practices •Ability to present with confidence •Strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership skills •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to stay nimble and proactive •Proficient within MS Office, Cvent Transient (Lanyon), Cognos •Experience with Lifestyle hotels a plus Experience Preferred: • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience •Experience with Hyatt Systems including Reserve, Opera, Envision •Working knowledge/understanding of SynXis The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
