8am-5pm on site

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be entrusted with the processing of daily sales, managing cash receipts, and overseeing accounts receivable. Our clients are exclusively in the automotive sector, emphasizing the need for an individual who understands the nuances of this industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong proficiency in Excel and possess the ability to effectively manage and reconcile customer information with our ERP invoicing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily sales transactions and ensure accurate recording in the company's financial system.

  • Manage and post cash receipts daily, ensuring all payments are accounted for and properly allocated.

  • Diligently follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely payment. This includes communicating with customers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.

  • Utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for invoicing, maintaining minimal manual intervention in the invoicing process.

  • Download and reconcile customer information from various platforms, matching it accurately to ERP invoicing, requiring extensive use of Excel.

  • Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies in accounts receivable records.

  • Collaborate with team members from different departments to ensure seamless financial operations, particularly focusing on customer accounts.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounts receivable role or similar finance position.

  • Strong Excel skills are imperative for success in this role.

  • Demonstrable experience or understanding of the automotive industry.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively follow up on receivables and interact with customers.

Preferred:

  • Experience with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Tier 1 suppliers is highly regarded.

  • Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
