ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: USF's Office of Administrative Services (OAS) is made up of the dedicated
people who keep our campus, the equivalent of a medium-sized city, moving forward. This team delivers essential services across USF's
multiple campuses and locations that together total 11 sites, 1,646 acres, 350 buildings, and 12.8 million gross square feet. With
responsibilities that include land use and planning, construction and development, maintenance and utilities, custodial and grounds
services, parking and the Bull Runner bus system, environmental health and safety, university police, and emergency management; the OAS team
has a wide-reaching impact that touches nearly every aspect of the University of South Florida community in support of the university's
mission and strategic plan. On USF's Tampa campus, the OAS team performs a broad scope of services that includes processing and
completing over 45,000 work orders annually, providing custodial and maintenance services for 83 buildings totaling 4.5 million square feet,
managing over 350 construction and renovation projects each year, providing utilities services for 350 buildings totaling 12.8 million
square feet, maintaining 20,500 parking spaces across 93 surface lots and 4 garages, operation and maintenance of a fleet of 26 buses, and
performing grounds care of 500 acres of space. OAS is a service organization and believes that providing excellent customer service

team members! The Land Use and Planning Department handles campus planning, sustainability, and space management and analysis. The
department is responsible for the campus Master Plan, planning graphics, interior design, landscape design, signage and wayfinding, LEED
certification and green programs, the Annual Capital Improvement Plan, ADA Compliance support as well as various special
projects.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Facilities ADA Coordinator plans, organizes, and
reviews USF's System-wide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Program, state and federal ADA laws pertaining to staff,
students, public visitors for the built environment. Develops and establishes guidelines, prepares procedures/policies designed to eliminate
discriminatory practices and to ensure access to programs and services for persons with disabilities; provides support and coordination for
ADA issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES: For the built environment, formulates and designs procedures and policies to
determine the status of implementing ADA, confers with administrative staff to plan and develop methods for addressing deficiencies in
policies and procedures, barrier removal, program design, e.g., requests for reasonable modifications and accommodations. Directs and
coordinates education, outreach and advocacy activities concerned with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other laws that
protect the rights of persons with disabilities. For the built environment, conducts consultation for achieving and maintaining
compliance with ADA, also assists departments with methods for providing modifications and accommodations; provides students and visitors,
with materials/information regarding USF's commitment to provide individuals with disabilities access to services and activities. Attends
and participates in meetings with committees developing and implementing community outreach, public awareness compliance; advising USF
leaders and departments on issues of concern to persons with disabilities. For the built environment, acts as a liaison for the
university, explaining applicable codes for and providing technical assistance on accessibility of buildings, facilities, programs, and
services. Ensures that USF's practices are compliant with all applicable ADA codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and
procedures; initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations. For the built environment, ensures the preparation
and completion of required state/federal ADA reports, various forms, correspondence, ADA Program documentation, case files, and
investigative reports/recommendations. For the built environment, analyzes data and identifies trends; summarizes data and prepares
reports; conducts research and maintains current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as well as maintains an awareness of new
trends and advances in the profession. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: This position requires a bachelor's degree and 3 years of related
experience.
FLSB1310 Equivalency: 4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for
bachelor's degree. 6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's
degree. PREFERRED: Master's Degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

SPECIAL
SKILLS/TRAINING: Demonstrated experience with ADA and building codes/architectural drawings.
