Job Details:
The College of Health Professions at Mercer University invites applications for a full-time faculty member in the Master of Athletic Training program. This is a 12-month position, tenure-track faculty position in a progressive and innovative College that emphasizes evidence-based and integrative approaches to healthcare and collaboration with the other programs in the College (Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Public Health, Clinical Psychology, and Kinesiology).

Responsibilities :

Responsibilities include graduate student classroom instruction; graduate student advisement and mentoring; committee involvement; professional organization engagement; and scholarly activities to include grants, publications, and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching and a strong research orientation with potential for extramural support. As a faculty member at Mercer University, you can expect to be immersed into a community of scholars who are committed to fostering diversity and inclusive excellence.

Qualifications :

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, ScD, DAT) in athletic training or related field (kinesiology, exercise science, or exercise physiology) from an accredited University/College; ABD considered for instructor rank. Candidates must be certified and in good standing with the Board of Certification and be eligible for a license to practice as an athletic trainer in Georgia. Prior teaching experience, familiarity with CAATE accreditation, and a record of peer-reviewed scholarly activity preferred.
