Biomedical Engineer Location New Orleans, LA : Conducts research into biological aspects of humans to develop new theories and facts, to test, prove, or modify known theories of life systems. Provides support in the selection, installation, and operation of advanced computers and instruments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in the development of specialized computer programs
- Experience in behavioral/biological research
- Experience in training and direction of personnel in computer and electro-neurodiagnostic equipment
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of personal computers, computer hardware and software
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of telemedicine equipment
- Supervisory experience
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in biomedical engineering or computer technology
- 3 years of experience in advanced computer technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in biomedical engineering or computer technology
