The Florida State University Coastal & Marine Laboratory (FSUCML) is seeking a Business Manager.
ResponsibilitiesThe position will serve as the Budget Manager for the FSUCML, including E&G, CFD, Auxiliary, SRAD, Research Foundation and Foundation accounts, as well as make budget projects & reconcile funds (except Aux) to advise the Director on business decisions for the department. Prepares annual operating budget and is responsible for reconciling a select subset of sponsored projects.
Serves as pre-award departmental research administrator for all sponsored projects submitted through the FSUCML. Assists faculty with proposal preparation, review and submission through SRA and FSURF. Provides guidance and interpretation to faculty regarding university policies and procedures related to principal investigators, proposal submission and award management.
Serves as department approver for all financial and personnel actions for the department.
Serves as the departmental Manager for transactional HR processes. Responsible for supervising all staff performing administrative or fiscal responsibilities, either directly or indirectly.
Will serve as the backup for the FSUCML user programs, the HR rep., P-card proxy, and post-award duties for sponsored projects.
QualificationsBachelor's degree and two years experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
