Job Description - Digital Video Editor

Job Description:   As an Editor for Digital Video, you'll work with a diverse range of clients, including corporations, associations, nonprofits, and issue advocacy groups. Your role is pivotal in delivering impactful creative and innovative media campaigns to help clients achieve their goals.

  • Conceptualize, design, and edit video content for digital ad campaigns across various platforms, including social media, YouTube, and OTT/CTV
  • Collaborate client services and media teams to understand project objectives, target audience, and key messages to create impactful video ads.
  • Create and integrate motion graphics and animation into video projects to enhance storytelling and engagement.
  • Edit video content, including selecting music, voiceover, graphics, and effects, to ensure high-quality and cohesive final products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques, trends in digital advertising, and advancements in motion graphics and animation.
  • Provide expertise and input during creative meetings, contributing to the development of campaign strategies and creative concepts.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Minimum of 4 years (or two cycles) of experience in video editing, with a focus on digital content creation. Strong preference for work in the political campaigns and advocacy space preferred but not required.
  • Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and animation, particularly for digital advertising.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to thorough quality assurance processes, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment, skilled in juggling multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

SKDK is committed to pay equity. SKDK believes the target range of base compensation in this role is $85,000-$95,000. In addition to base salary, SKDK considers other key components as part of total compensation, including but not limited to an annual discretionary bonus, commission on new business, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, such as skillset, level of experience, and location.
