Job Summary

Responsible for the capture of new revenue opportunities within assigned relationship portfolio. Recognized revenue streams will include sponsored research funding, gifts, executive and professional education, utilization of university resources, licensing and other forms of revenue from corporate partners. Responsible for planning and implementing a coordinated program of revenue-generating business development activities. Use advanced relationship building skills to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward significant corporate relationships and investments. Establish and effectively manage relationships with critical, high-profile prospects. Co-design and implement strategic business development plans. Manage special events to involve and cultivate prospects. Collaborate with deans and faculty, and coordinate with other corporate-facing staff. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Deans, school chairs, faculty, academic unit and program leadership, and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE) colleagues, university leadership, internal campus stakeholders and partners, and external corporate partners. This position will supervise: N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform corporate relationship management for the benefit of students, faculty, staff and community stakeholders, and partners. Job Duty 2 -
Achieve revenue generation through sponsored research funding, gifts, executive and professional education, utilization of university resources, licensing and other forms of revenue from corporate partners. Job Duty 3 -
Participate in the development and implementation of programs which identify current corporate prospects for research funding, philanthropic support, sponsorships, and other forms of corporate investment and revenue generation at Georgia Tech. Job Duty 4 -
Serve as a resource for unit and central development personnel and Institute leadership in matters related to corporate support and investment. Job Duty 5 -
Establish and maintain a high degree of communication, collaboration, and coordination with campus partners and stakeholders related to assigned portfolio. Job Duty 6 -
Submit timely contact reports, prospect plans, solicitations, and opportunities into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tracking system. Job Duty 7 -
Coordinate the development, maintenance, and delivery of executive briefings on portfolio clients to senior leadership, including the President, Executive Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and college Deans. Job Duty 8 -
Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience
Five to seven years job related experience. Preferred Qualifications

Corporate engagement experience in a university environment and/or relevant experience in sales, marketing, and relationship management or other related fields. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE
Key to success will be previous experience with issues related to university-industry engagement including sponsored research agreements, gifts agreements, and intellectual property. SKILLS
Basic knowledge of corporate relationship development approaches and the highest levels of interpersonal stills, ethical standards, and good judgement. Excellent skills in building long-term relationships, and persuasive written and verbal communications skills. Skills in prioritizing, negotiating, influencing, strategic planning, project management, program administration and organization, as well as self-motivation, ability to work independently and as a team member, and capacity for multi-tasking.
