HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
(HYBRID – SAN FRANCISCO)

The Human Resources Assistant performs a variety of administrative, technical, and coordination activities in support of the Human Resources team. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with the corporate and administrative recruitment process; coordinating new employee onboarding and orientation planning; entering/updating employee information in the HR system; maintaining employee files; and providing support to various projects and initiatives for the HR team.

How You’ll Help Our Team Succeed

  • Supporting corporate and administrative recruitment efforts including job posting, scheduling, and reference checking.
  • Working with team members to coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation process for corporate and administrative hires, including preparation of new hire materials and orientation schedules.
  • Assisting with the new employee onboarding and I-9 verification processes.
  • Entering, updating and maintaining employee information regarding new hires, office transfers, signing bonus payments, compensation changes, leaves of absence, FTE changes, and departures.
  • Assisting in creation of documents related to employee life-cycle changes.
  • Creating, maintaining and organizing electronic employee files and saves appropriate documents.
  • Running miscellaneous reports in HRMS (Workday).
  • Assisting with day to day employee questions.
  • Assisting the HR team with other ad hoc projects.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 1+ years of human resources or administrative experience required; professional services experience preferred
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm’s financial and operational functions
  • The mindset to provide superior service
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • The ability to handle confidential or sensitive information discretely and professionally
  • Working knowledge of MS Office required
  • Experience with a HR information system or applicant tracking system a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position between $49,200 and $62,200. A job offer will depend on how closely a candidate’s skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
