Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.

Objective : The Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual performs various activities and relays various policies within the realm of Human Resources in an exemplary manner according to the company quality policies.

Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Human Resources (or a related field)
  • 1 + years' of experience performing human resources-related duties
  • Experience with the recruiting and hiring process (using methods including social networking)
  • Experience performing human resources-related duties in a professional environment
  • Bilingual - able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Exceptional professional attributes of self-motivation, dependability and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to build effective work relationships
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
  • An excellent work record, including attendance

Outstanding candidates will possess the following Desired Requirements:

  • Experience performing human resources-related duties in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred

(Minimum requirements are updated annually to meet the demands of various positions; employees hired prior to the latest revision update may not meet all current requirements)

Essential Functions:

Workforce Planning & Talent Management:

  • Recruit and staff open positions with qualified employees to meet business needs. Work with the appropriate team leader and manager to interview and select the most qualified candidates for both internal and external open positions. Post assigned open positions internally, according to company policy, including the appropriate qualifications, and the accurate duties for each position.
  • Meet with Managers and Team Leaders on a regular basis to help forecast future manpower and potential turnover needs.
  • Work with team leaders and manager to design (or update) position descriptions and performance appraisals via internal/external research, including primary duties, required education, knowledge and experience, and wage ranges.
  • Facilitate the performance appraisal system for new hires, employees awarded open jobs, and annual appraisals for hourly employees, including administering and documenting returned appraisals. Assist with putting together an action plan to address performance issues.
  • Assist with maintaining company organizational charts.
  • Perform retention & exit interviews with new/existing employees to assist with the department retention goals. Identify any training issues and employment issues.
  • Coordinate the transfer dates of the candidates selected, and begin the process of replacing the positions (if necessary) that the chosen candidates vacate.
  • Assist with the implementation of rightsizing, downsizing, and termination initiatives.

Human Resources Information:

  • Relay basic human resources-related policy information and/or conduct interpretation to resolve routine questions and assist employees.
  • Ensure accurate administration and interpretation of company policies, including compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve employee issues and complaints. Issue warnings for company rule violations, for all employees, maintaining consistency within the organization.
  • Issue drug screens and retain necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation rules and regulations for Truck Drivers.
  • Complete Unemployment Insurance Benefit paperwork and attend hearings in when necessary.
  • Enter various employee data (open jobs, pay increase, title changes, etc.) into the human resource information system. Create, administer and improve the necessary workflows for that data.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Manager and Vice President.

  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.
  • Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.
  • Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
  • Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
  • Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including ISO, TS16949, and safety regulations.
  • Accept instructions and duties in a positive manner.
  • Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.
  • Exhibit all the attributes of a positive role model (including professionalism, personal integrity, and positive attitude) for employees and managers to emulate.
  • Assist in maintaining company values (Integrity, People, Customers, Safety, We Can If...Do What It Takes, and Ownership) daily, through thoughts and actions.
