As a valued colleague on our enterprise Communications and Public Affairs team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on designing and coordinating internal communication strategies. In this role, you will maintain communications policies and procedures, drive genuine engagement, and enable employees to connect the work they do to the results we deliver together. The Internal Communications Strategist – HR role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care, so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with, advise, and support the Human Resources business partners by leading enterprise strategic communications, and supporting change management initiatives and employee engagement in support of business priorities.
- Educate employees about our business and mission through storytelling and data-driven communications channels and tactics.
- Partner with Marketing and External Communications colleagues on integrated strategic communications campaigns.
- Take end to end ownership of work by creating, implementing, and overseeing communications deliverables and delegating, coordinating, and reviewing the team’s work as appropriate.
- Support authoring, reviewing, or contributing to internal campaigns and editorial calendars (blogs, creative briefs, articles) that may have a broader reach externally.
- Serve as a mentor to early-career team members across the organization.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 4 years related experience in Internal Communications in a corporate environment required.
- Prior experience developing internal strategic communications plans and implementing them across a business segment or enterprise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to include copywriting, planning and distributing communications, etc.
- Ability to understand the company’s goals and priorities and connect the communications strategy back to the work.
- Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
- Proven ability to bring creative ideas to engage employees and manage details small and large - from initial brainstorms to promotion and execution.
- Passion for growing skills, learning the business, building relationships, and understanding different areas of expertise on a high-performing, diverse team.
- Demonstrated experience measuring results and adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
- Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change, meet strategic objectives, and address employee sentiment and feedback.
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to effectively influence and negotiate, facilitate meetings, and resolve conflicts.
- Demonstrated independent thinking and solid decision-making skills.
- Skilled in collaborating across Microsoft Office Suite and experience using metrics tracking programs.
Desired Experiences
- Prior experience supporting internal human resources communications initiatives or campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Area of study – communications, marketing, or public affairs preferred.
- Ability to work with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively towards a common goal.
- Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion.
- Experience using SharePoint content management, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar CRM), Adobe Workfront or digital signage software a plus.
