TYPICAL DAY FOR A JOB PLACEMENT COORDINATOR

As a new Job Placement Coordinator with Families Forward, you are the ultimate people person. Your warm and friendly approach helps you connect with participants and build strong, trusting relationships. You are always on the lookout for new ways to create volunteer and employment opportunities in the community, and you work hard to match each participant with the perfect job based on their vocational evaluation and TANF work requirements.

Using our cutting-edge Fedcap CARES program, you stay organized and focused as you plan and execute daily and weekly tasks. You work tirelessly to find job opportunities that match the skills and interests of each participant, and you collaborate closely with our nonprofit partners and employers to ensure everyone is happy with their new hire or volunteer.

As an expert in vocational rehabilitation, you also plan hiring events, retention events, and on-site employer panels. You keep careful records and track working participants in their jobs to validate retention benchmarks at important milestones. With your professionalism and dedication, you are the perfect fit for this entry-level role in our human services nonprofit.

SCHEDULE

As part of this vocational rehabilitation role, approximately 25% of your time will be spent traveling to different locations within the community. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday with typical daytime hours.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A JOB PLACEMENT COORDINATOR

• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience

Experience working as a placement specialist in a nonprofit environment is preferred, but not required.
