Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Labeling Technical Writer for our client in the Health Technology domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Newark, DE (Hybrid- onsite 3 days/week)

Primary Skills: Technical Writing

Role Description: The Labeling Technical Writer must have at least 4+ years of experience. 

Responsibilities:

- Contribute to work instructions, area guidelines, knowledge base topics, style guides/templates, and department SOPs by analyzing current processes, identifying and evaluating options and suggesting changes with the intent of improving efficiency, or quality.

- Revise existing documentation by working w/ stakeholders, partners, or distributors to facilitate revision, review and approval of documentation.

- Coordinate the collaborative review process and establish review and edit cycles based on the project timeline and availability of resources.

- Coordinate the transition of documentation through preproduction, regulatory submission and production phases as appropriate.

- Gather inputs for supporting documentation from cross-functional areas for inclusion in change orders.

- May engage in Technical Training to maintain and expand knowledge of, assays, instrumentation, and software as it applies to documentation.

- Manage one or two documentation projects at a time.

- Use discretion and judgement to prioritize deliverables and manage “expedites”.

- Review translations for alignment with English source with regards to formatting and numerical matches.

- Generate and improve processes and procedures.

- With limited guidance, integrate SDS information into package inserts to comply with GHS standards.

Information Design and Development

- For inventoried items, prepare specs and work with procurement to ensure accuracy.

- Works in InDesign, Word, Author-it, or other content management systems to create and maintain documentation.

- Processes Change Orders as needed for Labeling projects in the EDMS System such as Agile or other.

Required Skills:

- Basic knowledge of QSR/GMP

- Basic experience w/ print publishing, design, or document control programs.

Education: Typically requires High School and 4-6 years related experience or AA and 2-4 year related experience or BS and 0-2 years related experience 

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
