majors, engaging lectures, cutting-edge research, quality student-faculty engagement and a nurturing environment. Job Summary The Laboratory Professional is responsible for performing general lab activities including maintenance of laboratory environment,
assisting faculty in developing exercises, and supervising lab exercises. Responsibilities
- Assist faculty in
developing and supervising lab exercises for students
- Install, maintain, and repair lab equipment for Engineering Technology
programs
- Write laboratory equipment specifications and requisitions to place orders for laboratory equipment and supplies
- Maintains laboratory facilities in good working order by keeping equipment clean and reporting equipment failures
- Recommends
necessary repairs and supplies to the department chair
- Adjust, calibrate and operate lab equipment
- Maintain accurate
inventory records of equipment, supplies, and lab instructional materials
- Arranges for laboratory repairs as necessary
- Coordinates and instructs students in the proper use of equipment
- Assist faculty in developing and supervising lab exercises
for students
- May supervise student workers and other staff as required
- May be required to perform job related duties other
than those specifically delineated in this position
Required Qualifications - Associate Degree in
Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or closely related field
- Three (3) years of experience maintaining laboratory
equipment, operating laboratory equipment, or related experience
- Familiar with computer software that is currently used in the
academic programs of the department
Proposed Salary Maximum $40,700
