Thrive Pet Healthcare Cedar Park is looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Enjoy our 4-day work weeks! 7:55 AM-6:30 PM with 2 Saturdays per month!

As a Hospital Lead/Technician you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to developing and supporting your team through coaching and training.  

 Role Responsibilities:  

  • Maintaining a Positive work environment
  • Managing the technician and CSR teams
  • Training technicians and concierge team members
  • Following and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Making work schedules
  • Attending meetings
  • DEA auditing
  • Troubleshooting repairs
  • Inventory and ordering
  • Hiring and onboarding new employees
  • Staff evaluations
  • Confidently training new hires in all aspects of patient care including anesthetic monitoring
  • Managing the hospital’s P&L
  • Working closely with area leaders to best support your hospital.

 

Experience & Skills Requirements: 

  • 3 or more years of direct patient care experience; CVT / LVT / RVT preferred, but not required
  • One year of leadership experience
  • Team player and willingness to cross train in all areas of a general practice
  • Self-driven accountability for learning
  • Positive attitude
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Self-starter
  • Weekend availability
