Job Description - Loan Operations Intelligent Information Manager

The Loan Operations Intelligent Information Manager will be responsible for the oversight of various projects and initiatives that directly affect the Bank and Loan Operations. This position oversees the management of the Document Imaging, Collateral Integrity/Perfection, and Collateral Resource/Lien Release departments. The position is necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines on lien releases and to warrant that documents are imaged and indexed accurately.



The Loan Operations Intelligent Information Manager will provide daily support to the Collateral team to ensure that lien releases are prepared within regulatory guidelines. Provide daily to support to the Imaging team to ensure that documents are imaged and indexed accurately for easy retrieval.



The position also focuses strategically on the direction of the next level of Document Imaging/Enterprise Content Management for the Bank to ensure that information is readily available to be used to drive business decisions. The ability to make independent, well-considered decisions is required.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily activities associated with imaging loan documentation for the Bank's commercial, business banking, consumer, home equity and mortgage portfolios
  • Review and sign Discharge documents on paid loans tied to real estate collateral
  • Review and approve wires using the GFT wire system.
  • Oversee the storage of the Bank's collateral documents, such as stocks, life insurance policies, etc.
  • Manage the integrity of the collateral data in Horizon
  • Oversee the underwriting of investor and portfolio Hardship Modification program for residential mortgages and home equity loans
  • Analyze loan operations data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive reporting tools to provide actionable insights for senior management.
Operational Efficiency:
  • Streamline loan operations processes through automation and intelligent information management.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate new technologies and improve system functionalities.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all loan operations processes and information systems comply with banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and adjust systems accordingly.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead a team of information management professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Project Management:
  • Manage projects related to the development and implementation of new intelligent information systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Loan Operations. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information management within the financial services industry, particularly in loan operations.
  • Proven experience with intelligent information systems, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and loan operations processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
