Southeast Behavioral Hospital:

Southeast Behavioral Hospital is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southeast Missouri, starting in February 2021. Currently under construction, our 102-bed facility will offer a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and seniors experiencing mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and co-occurring substance use issues.  Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Cape Girardeau region has long been an area of vibrant commerce and abundance, with significant roots in agriculture and trading posts which produced generations of people full of pride and a determination to put in a hard day’s work.  This regional economy enjoys many diverse industry sectors, each thriving and enjoying the fruits of their labor. Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; two years of technical or trade school preferred.

Experience: Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions.  Must have some Commercial HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing experience.  Experience in building maintenance, basic mechanical engineering, painting/wall repair, carpentry and plumbing required.

Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements: Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
