Job summary
We are searching for a Workplace Violence Prevention Manager of Security Service. In this position, you will formulate and implement strategies, programs and initiatives aimed at cultivating workplace violence prevention, interventions and mitigation efforts. Achieving success in this capacity relies on a cooperative cross-functional and integrated team approach in accordance with institutional policies to enhance the safety, well-being and overall security.

Responsibilities
• In collaboration with leadership, develop strategic plans for the institutional workplace violence prevention program, and implement program initiatives using data-driven and evidence-based practices to deliver high quality, effective violence prevention services. • Work with assigned staff and team members to identify opportunities and suggest new initiatives and partnerships within the division and institution. • Conduct annual workplace violence site assessment and provide program and data enhancement recommendations. • Contribute to the evolution of program technology systems and identifying future technological requirements. • Generate reports create presentations and make recommendations with data presented in appropriate formats. • Conduct accurate analysis and reporting on designed focus areas and present to management. • Implement key performance indicators and other measurable metrics and provide updates on the workplace Violence Prevention program objectives. • Develop and enhance partnerships with human resources and other groups to prevent intervene, and address workplace violence that affects employees. • Oversee team engagement, track related milestones, and support prevention-focused program effectiveness. • Manage interactions between other internal functions as needed and provide leadership with assigned reports. • Oversees and implements special projects and event requests from various departments and committees.
Requirements
• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's unless approved for a medical or religious exemption. • Required H.S. Diploma or GED and a preferred bachelor's Degree. • Licenses/Certifications: PPO IV - Lic-Pers Protection Officer IV issued by Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Board, acquired within 6 months of entering the role, CHSS - Cert Healthcare Sec Supervisor issued by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS), acquired within 6 months of entering the role, TDR - Texas Driver's License issued by the State of Texas, acquired within 90 days of entering the role, must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check demonstrating a clear driving record as defined by the routine driver qualifications outlined in the Texas Children's Fleet Safety Policy and Procedure. Must also maintain a clean driving record, must pass a Physical Fitness Test performed by Texas Children's Employee Health Services and/or an affiliate. • 5 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience, including at least two (2) years in a formal supervisory role. • A bachelor's degree may substitute for two (2) years of required 'security, law enforcement or military' experience. (A bachelor's degree will not substitute for any of the required formal supervisory experience.)
