Position Details Dept Number/Name: 0-1775-000/ Institute for School-Community Partnerships, Integrated Services, and Child Mental Health and Educational Policy College/Division: Acad Affairs-Coll of Education Salary Plan: Staff Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $33,000 - $39,500 Position Number: 00001690 Position Location: Tallahassee, FL ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: The Institute for School-Community Partnerships, Integrated Services, and Child Mental Health and Educational Policy (ISCP), which is part of the College of Education, envisions that all schools in the state of Florida and nationally will have the capacity to provide a safe, effective, and efficient environment to continuously improve the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students and to actively engage families and communities in education. The ISCP's nearly $23 million budget is derived from grants from federal, state, and private sources. It is the mission of the ISCP to implement and evaluate research-based and innovative practices in school and community settings. This is accomplished through (a) training, technical assistance, and support to key partners; (b) community-engaged research and program evaluation to inform key partners' decision making; (c) the development of research and evidence-based documents, tools, and resources to support implementation and evaluation activities; and (d) supporting the infrastructure and capacity of key partners to implement and evaluate federal and state educational policy. POSITION SUMMARY: To provide administrative support to professional staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and maintains web site for Student Support Services, creates content, creates and maintains structure based on management priorities. Updates information on pages and databases so that content is up to date. Develops and creates layout for new sections/features. Designs and prepares brochures and pamphlets as requested for Student Support Project/Florida Department of Education. Designs and creates presentations for Student Support Services Performs administrative duties for the Student Support Services Project. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the interpretation of internal and external policies and procedures which are required for the daily operation of the project. This information is provided to the program director and fellow workers verbally, in writing, or via email. Such information also serves as liaison with other internal/external agencies including the Florida Department of Education and 67 school districts in the State of Florida. Provides administrative support to the Project's professional staff by conducting research, preparing reports and handling information requests. Provides technical assistance related to computer and software support. Answer the telephone, greet visitors and direct them to the proper location Assists with the planning of meetings and conference calls. Prepare and distribute materials for meetings. Make travel arrangements and complete travel authorizations and/or travel expense reports for professional staff. Assists in ordering and determining the need for supplies, equipment, and furnishings of routine and non-routine office supplies and service/ maintenance needs. POSITION REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least four years of experience in an office or administrative support position requiring use of desktop publishing applications. Appropriate additional education may be substituted for this experience requirement. FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.
