Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide school-based services for a local school district in Wilmington, DE. Perks:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for carrying out the therapeutic provisions of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for students with disabilities
• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student physical performance strengths and needs, through evaluation, educational program planning, and service delivery.
• Collaborates with supervising PT to develop a plan of care based on student needs and evaluation results.
• Attends and contributes to required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the supervising physical therapist to review results/findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and contributes to develop individual education plans and intervention plans to achieve IEP goals in collaboration with the supervising PT.
• Provides targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and functional performance within the school environment.
• Consults with the school-based IEP team to achieve student outcomes.
• Monitors and reassess the effects of physical therapy intervention and the need to continue, modify, or discontinue intervention in collaboration with supervising PT.

Qualifications:

• Valid state license as a PTA
