This position is a full-time, permanent, classified position which is represented by a union.

section in Portland, Oregon is recruiting for a Patient-Centered Primary Care Home Verification Specialist to support Oregon’s health system transformation goals by fostering improvement and innovation within the primary care delivery system through work in the Patient-Centered Primary Care Home Program. The PCPCH Verification Specialist provides consultation, technical assistance and evaluation services for Oregon's program to verify primary care practices recognized as PCPCH by OHA are meeting program requirements as required by statute, administrative rules and interpretive guidelinesWorking conditions: This position requires travel around the state, requiring occasional overnight stays. Work can be conducted remotely with occasional in office meetings located at 421 SW Oak St Portland, OR.

Special Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Five years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations. Three of the five years must be above the technical support level.
College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.
Desired Attributes
Experience with the characteristics of primary care delivery system settings is essential.
Experience with patient-centered medical home/primary care home models or primary care transformation.
Experience with health care quality improvement activities, and primary care practice
Experience handling challenging provider concerns and complaints and the establishment of collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.
Experience objectively considering viewpoints and needs expressed by different groups.
Experience analyzing and presenting options and alternatives and skillfully leading groups with diverse and/or opposing views through a negotiating process that results in a mutually acceptable solution.
Experience learning, comprehending, retaining and referring to information about multiple, and/or substantially different, programs while handling stressful situations.
Experience in national, state or local community standards of health care, particularly primary care.
Preference may be given to candidates with a Master of Public Health (MPH) or similar; or licensure in a health care field; or experience working in a primary care clinic.
Experience in promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
