Duties and responsibilities:

Purpose: Program Specialists provided basic intake, service navigation, administrative support, data tracking and reporting functions, and data management activities for all agency programs, services, and initiatives.

Essential Functions: Engage individuals in a way that reduces barriers to their acceptance of services, including meeting them in the office, speaking with them over the phone, or corresponding through email.

  • Process, log, and distribute incoming mail and faxes on the same day as received as required by established standards.
  • Assist with agency reception duties as needed.
  • Assist by providing quality assurance of agency database to ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Maintain a coordinated calendar of program activities and events.
  • Assist in the tracking of grants, contracts, funding agreements, or other required activities to ensure programming deliverables are met and reported appropriately.
  • Receive and complete requests for intake and/or referral services from potential clients.
  • Refer individuals to other assistance programs that can provide supportive services which address Social Determinates of Health and other barriers to economic security.
  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of agency and programmatic reports.  Assist in maintaining agency administrative files.
  • Network, participate, and attend related meetings within the agency and other relevant agencies.
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, facilitation, and/or attendance of special events relating to programming and initiatives in the community.
  • Maintain current electronic calendar which is accessible to other staff and accurately reflects tasks and appointments.
  • Maintain working space and office in a professional, presentable, confidential manner.
  • Complete assigned activity, time, and programming reports as required by established deadlines.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree/General Educational Diploma (GED) with two years demonstrated related experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass Act 33/34 and FBI clearances
  • Valid Driver’s License and car insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle report.

Salary:

This is a non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate of $16.80. This position is based on a 35-hour workweek.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.80 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Work Location: In person
