Job Description - PT Counter Server/Bartender/Busser

Are you looking for a rad group of humans to hang out with while you are working? Because we are looking for you! Currently seeking to fill a part-time hybrid position, 3-4 shifts, 20-30 hrs/week, with both run/bus and cashier shifts, including weekends with the possibility to transition to full time soon! Cashier duties include cash/credit handling, taking orders, and light bartending duties. Applicants must be able to obtain or possess a valid Washington State MAST permit. Experience not required, just someone eager to learn!

Pay starts at $16.28 plus tips! Tips currently average $8-14/hr additional! We are a tip pool house, tips are shared equally among all hourly staff members for the day. Come join us making some great burgers and new friends!

Who you are:

  • Motivated, driven, and reliable.

  • Experienced with payment processing (including cash, credit & debit) and POS usage
  • Open to new experiences, education, and new friends!
  • Have or are able to obtain valid Washington State Food Handler & MAST Class 13 liquor permits within 14 days of hire.

What you'll do

  • Work independently & with a team to run a successful shift

  • Work with floor and store managers to ensure proper lighting, music, and general atmosphere for our guests
  • Take direction and feedback to accomplish the days tasks

  • Uphold and follow all WA heath code standards and WA Liquor Control Board laws & guidelines.

  • Efficiently take & package orders, accurately handle cash and credit/debit payments, including orders placed in person and through our web store.

  • Pour beer, wine, and light cocktail mixing & service.

  • Setup & tear down of dining floor, opening and closing duties. Current operating hours are 11am-8pm. No late nights!
  • Light cleaning duties including but not limited to bussing, dish machine operation, sweeping, mopping, sanitization.

  • Maintain a clean & well-organized space, setting your fellow team members up for success by ensuring pars are maintained and ingredients are fully stocked

  • Follow a systemized approach to completing the days tasks

  • Communicate verbally with team members and leadership to bring your bright ideas/suggestions/feedback to their attention and to take direction in order to continue to grow

  • Connect with the community. We strive to be a part of our local community, not just a service to it!
  • And most importantly, have fun and love spreading joy with some delicious smash burgers!

What you can expect of the work environment

  • Near continuous requirement to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist & turn, talk, listen, and hear. Consistent fine actions with fingers and hands; and repetitive motions with hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and feet

  • Consistent use of a touch-screen Point of Sale system.

  • Consistent cash handling & arithmetic skills.

  • Occasionally required to stoop and climb ladders or stepstools

  • As needed, position requires sitting and crawling.

  • Consistently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grasp up to 25 pounds frequently to continuously without assistance; Up to 50-100 pounds occasionally with assistance

  • Standing continuously for up to 10 hours a day

  • Work performed requires medium physical strength & endurance

  • Consistently required to use near and peripheral vision, in addition to depth perception

  • Fast paced rushes for lunch & dinner

  • Small team - typically 4-5 line cooks and 1-2 service team members (with support by working managers!)

  • Close quarters

  • Moderate to High Noise Level

  • Moderate outdoor service on a shared dining patio in addition to regular indoor service.
