Quality engineer

Position Overview: The Quality Engineer (Supplier) will ensure that products and services meet the companys quality standards and industry regulations. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and protocols, leading supplier audits, and investigating and evaluating quality issues. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and processes
• Manage suppliers to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
• Perform supplier audits, inspections, and reviews
• Product quality plans, specifications, and inspection schedules that internal teams or outside inspectors will employ (as needed).
• Internal and supplier quality KPI's
• Analyze and monitor performance metrics and development trends
• Investigate and evaluate quality issues and recommend corrective actions
• Update and maintain the quality management system
• Train and supervise quality technicians
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, quality assurance, or related field
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification is a plus
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ANSI/ISO/TUV/UPC/WMS/ERP) and compliance regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
