We are currently hiring for an onsite Contract Recruiter to assist with the organization's recruiting efforts. Candidates should be experienced in the following areas: high-volume sourcing, phone screening, employee/labor relations, and wage and salary administration. This is a temporary onsite recruiting role, estimated to be a 3-month assignment, with the possibility of an extension pending the needs of the business.
Role and Responsibilities
- Recruits for a full range of positions for the organization, with a focus on professional positions in engineering, operations, and leadership roles
- Completes intake calls for new positions with hiring managers to gain a solid understanding of role requirements
- Source qualified candidates through job postings, resume mining, and internet searches
- Schedules and conducts prescreen calls and interviews
- Ensures appropriate matches between position requirements and candidates
- Assists candidates, employees, and hiring managers with questions related to open positions and recruitment practices and policies
- Ensures that all hiring practices are compliant with state and federal laws and regulations
- Other administrative duties and projects as assigned
Skills, Education and Training
- 4+ years of progressive agency recruiting experience for light industrial, engineering, technical, and professional positions in a high-volume setting.
- Candidates must be local to the Greater Houston area to be considered, as this is an onsite role
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws governing human resources and recruiting practice.
- Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking systems software.
- Must have strong organization skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong drive for results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines, and exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external contacts.
