Role Overview As an English Instructor, you'll play a pivotal role by: Conducting small group sessions to instill a deep understanding of English core skills, ensuring students achieve top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).
Monitoring student progress through our unique multi-phase curriculum, providing tailored growth opportunities along the way.
Demonstrating professionalism and organizational prowess by promptly responding to students, managing and updating lesson schedules, and holding students accountable for assignments.
Spearheading the development and innovative execution of evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
Mentoring middle and high school students with empathy, recognizing the increasing competitiveness and stress of the college application process.
Requirements To excel in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or higher in a humanities field (e.g., English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing), with a preference for Master's or higher.
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in English or working in a college-level Writing Center.
A GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Exceptional verbal skills and mastery of the English language.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and G-Suite.
Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Desirable Qualities The ideal candidate would also possess: Experience teaching at the college or community college level.
Strong grasp of classroom pedagogy and the ability to craft engaging, customized lesson plans.

Compensation Starting Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on education, experience, and skills.
