Insurance Premium Auditor/Quality Reviewer

PRIMARY PURPOSE As part of our team, premium auditors collaborate with clients to ensure that the policyholder's premium accurately reflects their exposure. Our 1099 contractors visit commercial establishments or work remotely to review financial and payroll data. Similarly, our quality reviewers focus on maintaining compliance with state regulatory standards. They meticulously scrutinize premium audit data, including class codes, client specifications, and grammatical accuracy. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality and timely premium audits and quality reviews, primarily in workers' compensation, general liability, garage, and auto liability.
- Perform various types of audits, including physical, virtual, telephone, and voluntary, tailored to meet different policy and account requirements.
- Note: Assignment frequency and volume may vary by location and are based on individual skill sets and capacity. Compensation and Benefits - Premium Auditors: Compensation for 1099 contractors ranges between $38-$50 per billable hour, covering time spent on tasks such as client meetings, audit completion, and report writing.
- Quality Reviewers: Payment is also on a 1099 contract basis, with rates determined by the client. Contractors willing to travel beyond a 60-mile radius receive additional compensation for mileage, meals, and lodging for overnight work. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements - Minimum of two years' experience in the premium audit industry, with comprehensive knowledge of all coverage lines, including Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Auto, and Garage across all states.
- Ability to manage a designated territory (typically within a 60-mile radius), travel as necessary, and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency in maintaining product quality according to industry standards and client specifications. Education - High school diploma or GED required. Skills and Knowledge - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Proficient in meeting deadlines and utilizing PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with interpretive capabilities.
- Familiarity with California workers' compensation classification systems, basic manual rules, and industry advisory resources. Preferred Qualifications - Industry designations such as APA, CIPA, or CPCU.
- WCIRB CompEssentials certification.
