The Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR) is a multi-disciplinary research institute whose mission is to reduce the human and economic burden of cancer. HICOR faculty conduct research in health economics, implementation science, quality of care, health care delivery, health disparities, and health policy.
The Rutter lab, within the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, is recruiting for a talented Summer Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant with expertise in R programming, health economics and cost-effectiveness research. Candidates with strong interest in decision analytic modeling are also highly recommended to apply.
Dr. Rutter's interests include microsimulation modeling and model calibration, evaluation of diagnostic and screening tests, and meta-analysis and systematic reviews, with a focus on Bayesian approaches. She is interested in understanding and addressing health care inequities and assessing health care quality and provider performance. This research position offers the opportunity to support the development and validation of microsimulation models focused on simulation of cancer screening and methods to calibrate these models, including participation in the development of manuscripts and grant applications.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $0 to $48.08 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), and prorated paid holidays (up to 11 days per year).
