This role is part of the Amazon People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization – we build a workplace for Amazonians to invent and deliver on behalf of customers. PXT for Amazon Entertainment supports a portfolio of entertainment businesses that span film, TV, live sports, music, podcasts, games, audiobooks, livestreaming, and other media content. The Entertainment PXT team focuses on the inputs that attract, grow, and retain creative, technical, and business talent at scale. We customize for unique Entertainment business and industry needs where necessary, and scale where possible and applicable. About the Team:
This Senior HR Specialist will be part of the Entertainment PXT Talent Experience Team. About the Role:
This Senior HR Specialist will create and support operational mechanisms for the team’s priority deliverables. These span core talent activities (especially during Q1/Jan-Mar), executive development, new employee engagement, and operational rhythms that impact both business and HR teams. This is one of the few roles on the team who will work on multiple talent engagement priority areas, and that is exciting!
The right person for this role needs to thrive in environments of high ambiguity and be comfortable operating in a space without a lot of existing structure, with a passion for putting structure in place. This person must have strong ownership, grit, and drive for results, with expertise in program management with flawless execution. This role will suit a strong written and verbal communicator, as both skills will be a regular part of this individual’s job.
A Little More About Location:
This is a role that requires minimum 3 days a week in the office, as we believe it is easier to learn, model, practice, and strengthen our culture when we’re in the office surrounded by our colleagues. Most of the executive clients and partners of this role are located in Seattle and Culver City, so this role will require some travel to those locations.
Key job responsibilities
Our talent offerings need to integrate into the regular rhythms of our Entertainment businesses. Our mechanisms for encouraging the adoption of these offerings (those of our team and those of central Amazon) needs to feel easy, timely, clear, and helpful. We also have talent related organizational goals that our business leaders are expected to meet, and we aid them in being successful in achieving these goals.
If you are in this role, one major area will be to establish these easy, timely, clear, and helpful mechanisms. Your primary stakeholders will be a mix of business leaders and leaders in HR roles across our portfolio of Amazon Entertainment businesses – these HR leaders are part of their business leadership teams, have high influence in driving adoption of talent offerings, and are juggling multiple, competing high priority items. That means you might have to try a few different and creative approaches to help them and our businesses. You’ll have partners in the other members of the Talent Experience Team and across Entertainment PXT to collaborate with, so it won’t be all on you to find the best methods. You’ll also support the execution of some of our team’s priorities starting first with core talent activities and executive onboarding, and expanding to other areas over time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Strong written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in partnering with HRBPs and other talent roles to deliver on joint goals
• Experience in program management of complex projects, with knowledge of program management lifecycle and project management tools
• Experience working in Entertainment or Tech industries
• Master’s degree Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and/or an MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
