As part of the Worldwide Environment team, Amazon's Worldwide Carbon team is dedicated to working across the company with our business units to make operational changes to accelerate solutions and decarbonize our businesses in service of The Climate Pledge. The Worldwide Carbon team is looking for a Sr. Sustainability Specialist to drive forecasting, metrics reporting, and action plans in support of Amazon's commitment to The Climate Pledge. The Sr. Sustainability Specialist will develop mechanisms to align forecasting inputs across business units, finance, tech, and data teams. They will develop best practices for forecasting and reporting cadences; to influence stakeholder alignment with methodologies that are repeatable. The ideal candidate has experience with large scale forecasting and reporting in complex ambiguous environments with fluid inputs. They will also model the demonstrated ability to bridge gaps between different forecasting methodologies. This Sr. Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for sharing metrics and goal statuses on a regular cadence. They should be able to clearly articulate the status of multiple goals and identify actions required to keep goals on track. Key job responsibilities - Deep dive into operational metrics, determine metric drivers or troubleshoot findings, and communicate to cross-functional teams - Align stakeholders to data input and output metrics and articulate benefits and tradeoffs of utilizing different data sources - Track and manage delivery timelines for internal and public facing goals - Collaborate with the WW Sustainability Tech and Science teams to expand tool functionality and knowledge integration About the team Diverse Experiences: World Wide Sustainability (WWS) values diverse experiences.
