Role Description: Reporting to the CFO, this key role leads Human Resources for the company and is responsible for all HR and Facilities practices and processes. The position is based in West Hollywood and in office Monday through Friday. Successful candidates will be highly motivated and team-oriented self-starters, who have significant directly applicable experience, can manage multiple priorities and are excellent communicators.
Responsibilities: - Lead a highly visible team of seven responsible for delivering best-in-class HR and Facilities solutions and support through partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional colleagues of all levels across Film, TV and Shared Services (Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, and Legal).
- Develop HR strategies and initiatives that align with employee and business needs, focusing on organizational design, change leadership, and talent management, provide counsel and guidance on complex employee related matters and stay current on HR trends and best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Oversee recruiting and hiring, including sourcing candidates, performing interviews, extending offers, and negotiating employment terms.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding, including orientation, training, exit interviews and information, and final pay.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and administer HR policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee payroll and the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Guide performance management, including mid and year end goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Prepare and manage department budget, including the AOP, quarterly reforecasts, and management reporting as necessary.
- Manage relationships with 3 rd party vendors and service providers, including resources and rate negotiations.
- Implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and training and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Lead efforts to build company culture, including planning monthly wellness initiatives and the company’s annual retreat, summer event, and holiday party.
- Oversee the summer internship program.
Experience and Qualifications: - 10+ years in HR, preferably leading a team with media & entertainment experience a plus.
- Highly knowledgable about HR laws and regulations and the ability to handle confidential information discretely.
- Proficient in the use of HR tools and systems, such as Paycom, LinkedIn Recruiter, Lattice, and Everfi.
- Keen entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and the willingness and ability to command the details, think big picture, and balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated track record of leadership and building effective organizational relationships.
Salary Range: $275,000.00/Year - $300,000.00/Year
