POSITION PURPOSE The Triage Clinician Lead is part of the person-centered integrated team and provides oversight to each team member, The Lead provides direct and indirect services to persons who present to the local Crisis Stabilization Center (CSC). They serve as the main assessor for these individuals who are in a behavioral health crisis and will complete the Open Access assessment, when applicable. This clinician will take the lead in directing the overall flow and referral processes at the CSC. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS JOB SPECIFIC Triage individuals who present at the CSC by swiftly, but kindly, assessing the individual who will, most likely, be experiencing some sort of behavioral health distress Philosophically understand the purpose is to avoid unnecessary hospitalization and/or law enforcement contact When clinically appropriate, provide full assessments to complete Open Access Assessing appropriateness/readiness of referrals for all services, both internally and externally Function as the lead for the multi-disciplinary team Maintain client records, following agency and state regulations including knowledge of utilization management criteria Will provide culturally competent services to meet the unique cultural needs of each agency consumer and family member Be knowledgeable of other human/social services for purposes of referral if the agency is unable to provide a particular service and maintain documentation of such referrals Interface with other community partners (such as law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, etc.) to provide holistic services to persons served Other duties as assigned by supervisor ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES &# x2013; COMPANY WIDE Regularly attends work except for approved absences Attends all training as required Maintain professional, champion behavior Provides quality customer service Provides services with a commitment to service excellence Works in a way that exhibits a commitment to personal excellence Team oriented and values diversity QUALIFICATION(S): DESIRED DEMONSTRATED KEY COMPETENCIES Analytical Thinking Change Readiness Collaborative Relationships Conflict Resolution Creative Thinking Communication Oral Communication Written Decision Making Empowers Others Flexible Thinking Forward Thinking Leadership Multitasking/Planning Organizational/Time Management Problem Solving Project Management Risk Management/ Assessment Strategic Thinking Teamwork Technical Expertise QUALIFICATION(S): EDUCATION If individual is a RN: Associate/Bachelors degree in nursing required Masters degree in nursing preferred If individual is a licensed therapist: Masters degree in counseling, social work, or psychology required if candidate is a licensed therapist QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS If individual is a RN: At least two (2) years experience in a psychiatric or substance abuse treatment setting required if a Masters in nursing degree is not obtained If individual is a licensed therapist: At least three (3) years similar work experience preferred Working knowledge of DSM-5 required QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Must have (at least) one of the following credentials: RN (QMHP Qualifying) PLPC LMSW LPC LCSW LMFT Compass Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and an E-Verify participant.
