We are a leading wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional

cleaning equipment servicing Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania.

We are looking for a delivery professional to join the team as a Non-CDL Truck Driver . The position is based out of our main distribution center in Binghamton, NY.

Our truck drivers are an important, final customer touch-point in our order cycle. They assure quality and accuracy, so that the right order gets to the right customer at the right time, in a courteous, professional manner. Safe, timely, reliable delivery service is integral to our business model of adding value for our customers.

The incumbent will report to the Shipping Manager and will be expected to safely operate a 20-24’ straight truck to provide daily non-CDL, last-mile delivery service for our customers in Upstate NY and Northeast PA. Typical out-of-town delivery routes range from 15-30 stops and 100-150 miles.

Along with completing daily delivery routes, the driver will take part in the end-of-day truck loading process where they will work side-by-side with our warehouse staff to assure the truck is loaded accurated and in the proper order. Order shipping confirmation, manifesting and truck routing to be managed by the Shipping Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Straight truck driving experience (pref 20-26')

• Experience unloading product using a pallet jack, handtruck/wheeler

• Able to operate iPhone device to record customer signature upon receipt of physical delivery

• Good people skills for positive customer interaction

• Able to navigate and follow a route

• Pride in work, appearance

• Adequate communication skills

• Perfect attendance

• Professionalism

MUST HAVES:

• DOT Medical card REQUIRED

• Active, clean driver’s license REQUIRED

Physical job requirements include:

• Independently lifting freight which can exceed 50 pounds

• Frequent climbing into/out of the delivery truck

• Ability to maneuver up and downstairs, ramps, etc. at delivery locations

• Exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates

Job Type:

Full-time, Non-exempt

Hours:

Monday-Friday, typically 700a-330p.

Hours could vary depending on number of stops on delivery route, weather, traffic

Pay

$18/hour
