12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of duties associated with the receipt, delivery and shipping of small packages, Liquefied Gases, Compressed Gases, Maintenance Supplies, Construction Materials, Custodial Supplies, and large freight weighing 150 pounds or more. The duties performed in this position require the use of a 14,000-26,000 GVW truck, panel van, 2-ton truck with cargo box, 3-ton flat bed, fork lift, electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, cylinder hand trucks, Liquid gas carts and wheel dollies. Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license AND at least one year experience working as a Truck Driver 1; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, record free from serious traffic violations.
  • Experience using material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a supply chain or retail/materials warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with the WSU campus.

Monthly Salary:


$4,299.00 to $4,987.00 | Range 43 (Steps G - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
