UI/UX Designer

Our client, a Fortune 500 insurance company, is in need of a UI / UX Designer to assist their team for a 6-month contract assignment offering 40 hours per week, with potential to extend. This role is HYBRID, 3 days per week onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in New York City. UI / UX Designer Responsibilities

• Contribute to the evolution of the firm's current design system through collaboration with product, tech and other designers
• Balance customer needs and business requirements to define scalable design solutions that meet and exceed user expectations
• Design UI components and templates leveraging the current design system, and define the guidance needed to support the execution of those designs in multiple markets - Create wireframes to blueprint the information hierarchy and interactions of a digital experience
• Create prototypes to explore and test design decisions
• Create production-ready design files and assets for handoff to UI developers, ensuring designs are implemented accurately and efficiently
• Perform design quality assurance during development
• Uses data and customer feedback to measure the effectiveness of designs and pivot as needed
  

UI / UX Designer Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing responsive web and native mobile app experiences for complex programs.
• Skilled in user experience fundamentals: research, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing, interaction design, visual design, accessibility standards
• Strong knowledge of user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design and the ability to generate design ideas
• Strong visual design skills and advanced UI knowledge
• Ability to do end-to-end component design, and ability to design components that scale and flex for the needs of multiple markets and businesses
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe XD and Figma
• Knowledge in front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plusnts
• Experience working in Agile sprint environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
