Job Summary

AECOM Water is actively seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Dallas, TX.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling using various software program

  • Analysis and design of stormwater drainage system, hydraulic structure, and highway drainage system.

  • Write technical report and technical memorandum

  • Field work for site reconnaissance

  • Provide assistance with Project Management

  • Mentoring and training junior level staff

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Face to face interaction with clients

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • Professional Engineer in Texas

  • 6+ years of relevant water resource related experience

  • 6+ years experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

  • 6+ years experience with design of storm drain system, flood control and drainage system (pipe, culvert, bridge, channel, spillway, etc.)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in ArcGIS and CADD

  • Strong analytical and computation skill

  • Knowledge of civil engineering design principles

  • Software AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Geopak Drainage, ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS
