Job DescriptionJob Description
Are you enthusiastic about creating enriching experiences for children? Do you thrive on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and have a blast? Join us as a Kids Program Instructor at the YMCA, where you'll have the chance to design and lead a wide range of engaging activities tailored to children aged 5 and above. Responsibilities: In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing a diverse array of activities that cater to children's interests and developmental needs. From arts and crafts and educational projects to physical fitness classes, you'll have the freedom to unleash your creativity and create memorable experiences for our young participants. Your primary focus will be on providing a safe and welcoming environment where kids can explore new interests, build valuable skills, and forge lasting friendships. Whether it's organizing sports practice sessions, leading group discussions, or facilitating team-building exercises, you'll play a pivotal role in helping children discover their passions and reach their full potential. As a Kids Program Instructor, you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow staff members to coordinate schedules, share resources, and plan special events or outings. Additionally, you'll communicate regularly with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and ensuring their peace of mind. Qualifications: We're seeking candidates with a passion for youth development and a knack for connecting with children of all ages and backgrounds. While previous experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting is preferred, we welcome applicants who bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Applicants must be 18 or older to apply. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be interacting with children, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis. You should also possess excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding YMCA safety guidelines at all times.
