B e nefit Highlights
The admissions coordinator is to liaise between the facility, referral sources and payors to successfully initiate and complete the admissions process. Incumbents are required to consider eligibility criteria, obtain clinical information regarding the patient, work with payors to understand insurance resources and work with referral sources to ensure logistical needs are fulfilled.
Job Duties
The job duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This is not an all-inclusive list of duties.
Education: Bachelor's Degree, with coursework in human services, social services, psychology or health care administration .
Experience : 3 or more years of experience working in mental health care environment. Prior mental health admissions experience preferred.
