Analyst, Logistics and Site Selection

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team and contribute to our strategic site selection and logistics optimization initiatives. As a Site Selection and Logistics Intern, you will play a crucial role in the identification and evaluation of optimal locations for the establishment of logistics hubs, testing and manufacturing facilities, and fixed-site donor centers, to enhance our donor collections and product distribution network. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your skills in mathematics, data science, and artificial intelligence to analyze and interpret data for strategic decision-making.

• Utilize mathematical models and data science techniques to analyze geographic and demographic data for potential site locations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and logistics goals.
• Support the procurement of artificial intelligence tools and resources to predict and optimize supply chain dynamics, transportation routes, and inventory management.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges of potential site locations.
• Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to the leadership team.
• Assist in developing and maintaining databases and analytical tools for ongoing site selection projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of site selection processes by proposing and implementing innovative methodologies.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hourly salary is $40.00/hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
